Requirements:

  • The track event is held rain or shine
  • Participants must be 18 years of age
  • Possess a current drivers license
  • Maintain current automobile insurance
  • Helmets required, M or SA Snell 95 or better rating (VIR sells helmets), MSCW's Paul Klein at kleinpa@cox.net rents helmets
  • Long Sleeve shirts and long pants, cotton materials required while on track
  • It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure their vehicle is in a safe operating condition. Vehicles must pass a Technical Inspection before being allowed on to the race course proper. Fees subject to forfeiture if your vehicle is not in proper condition, complete mechanical repairs ahead of time.

Structural Rollbar required for Convertibles:

  • Four point (or better) structural rollbar with substantial rearward bracing that passes through the decking and bolts to the uni-body structure of the vehicle itself required.
  • Rollbars are not required for Coupes or Sedans.
  • Your helmet may not exceed the height of the rollbar. Rollbar questions should be resolved well in advance of the event.
  • Rollbar structure and height is mandatory.

Damage to VIR Property:

  • VIR requires reimbursement for physical damage inflicted to their facility.
  • Participants are directly responsibility for any monetary charges resulting from damages caused or excess consumables deemed needed by VIR. This is typical of driver education events.

March 2006 VIR Full course track Fees:

  • Registration is by receipt of fees and space available. Postmark date is crucial when we get close to filling up. Acknowledgment via email. Applications sorted by postmark date and processed in batches.
  • The cost is $320 per driver.  Drivers may share one car and receive equal time in two different run groups. Two drivers may not share one participant fee and track time.
  • The track event is held rain or shine.
  • All cancellations subject to $20 processing fee.
  • Participants are subject to a $200 cancellation fee after March 1, 2006
  • No refunds after March 4, 2004, 6:00 PM EST, forfeiture of fee if spot not resold. Substitutions allowed, provided they complete the pre-inspection and provide advance notice by Monday, March 20, 2005 by 6:00 PM EST
  • MDA events typically sell out in advance, we will make every attempt to fill your spot from the wait list. However, wait listed participants make other plans as the event draws near, usually 2-3 weeks beforehand figuring they will not get in.  Plus they need time to prep their vehicles. The sooner MDA is notified, the sooner we can provide assistance.  Bottom line -- don't wait to the last moment, both driver and car should be ready in advance.
  • Checks payable to "MDA, LLC."
  • Mail along with the success page (completed application) to:
