  • Rollbar structure and height is mandatory.

Damage to VIR Property or Beyond Basic Services required:

  • VIR requires reimbursement for physical damage inflicted to their facility, such as guardrails, fines for improper disposal of fluids, etc.
  • VIR bills for specific additional services rendered that are beyond the basic facility cost. Examples include; oil dry (material used to clean up oil spills), coldpacks use in fuel cleanups/fires extinguished or in some cases a specific flat bed tow vehicle.
  • Participants are directly responsibile for specific charges resulting from VIR services required that are in addition to the standard facility cost. This is typical of driver education events.

June 2008 VIR Grand Course Event Fees:

  • VIR's Grand East requires leasing both the Full and Patriot courses. Essentially two tracks, totaling 4.2 miles and all the associated increased cost of two tracks combined into one event.
  • The Grand East is the vast majority of Full Course (with the North and South connectors) and the majority of Patriot Course. See both track maps on the June event page.
  • Registration is by receipt of fees and space available. PayPal or Postmark date is crucial when we get close to filling up. Acknowledgement is via email, applications are sorted by postmark or PayPal payment date and processed in batches.
  • The fee is per participant, two students may share one vehicle by assignment to two different run groups. Students may not share one time slot as this increases event and instructor workload.
  • $435 for two days (Sat & Sun).
  • Two ways to pay:
    • $435 online using using a credit card. Please use the encrypted PayPal icon on the VIR Grand June 2008 event main page;
There is no need to mail in your application if using PayPal.
    • or $435 check payable to "MDA, LLC."
    • Mail along with the success page (completed application) to:

    Mazda Driving Associates, LLC
    P.O. Box 1092
    Springfield, VA 22151-0092

June 2008 VIR Grand Course Cancellation Policy:

  • The track event is held rain or shine.
  • All cancellations subject to $25 processing fee.
  • Participants are subject to a $200 cancellation fee after May 14, 2008, 6:00 PM EST
  • No refunds after June 1, 2008, 6:00 PM EST, forfeiture of fee if spot not resold. Substitutions allowed, provided they complete the pre-inspection and provide advance notice by Monday, June 9, 2008 by 6:00 PM EST
  • MDA events typically sell out in advance, we will make every attempt to fill your spot from the wait list (if one exists). However, usually 2-3 weeks beforehand 85% or more of the wait listed participants make other plans figuring they are not going to get in. Those few that remain this close to the event still need time to prep their vehicles. The sooner MDA is notified, the sooner we can provide assistance. Bottom line, don't wait until the last minute to contact MDA.

If you have any questions contact Dave Nugent.
